Alice Margaret Badalamente, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and honorary grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, at the age of 87. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family.
Alice was born on August 28, 1936, the daughter of Frank and Kathleen Gistinger. She grew up in Madison Heights, Michigan, where she developed a love for skiing and a passion for life that would define her character. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Joseph Badalamente, with whom she shared 59 beautiful years of marriage.
As a mother, Alice poured her heart and soul into raising her children, Lisa (Jack) Lipar, Amy (David) Noon, and the late Matthew Mark Badalamente. Her love knew no bounds, and her children were her pride and joy. She instilled in them the values of compassion, resilience, and the importance of family bonds.
Alice's role as a grandmother brought her immense joy. She adored her grandchildren, Marissa, Kendra, and Kathleen, and embraced her honorary grandchild, Jamie, with open arms. Her warmth and nurturing spirit created a haven of love and laughter for her family.
Throughout her life, Alice found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of gardening. Her green thumb was represented in her beautiful flowering landscapes, which brightened the lives of those around her. Alice's culinary skills were unmatched, and she delighted in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and unforgettable aromas.
Above all, Alice will be remembered as a devoted caregiver who selflessly put the needs of others before her own. Her compassionate nature and unwavering support provided comfort to those in need and left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. Fifteen Mile Rd., Sterling Heights, Michigan. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 11:00 am, preceded by visitation at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Grace Centers of Hope would be appreciated, honoring Alice's compassionate spirit and commitment to helping others.
Alice Margaret Badalamente will be dearly missed but forever remembered for her love, kindness, and the countless lives she touched. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal beauty she brought into the world.
